Conditional/ Contextual Menus v3.4.2

In Ecomify 3.4.2, we have introduced Conditional/Contextual Menus. This feature allows for different menu displays when landing on different pages, enhancing user navigation and customization.

Definition: A contextual menu is a type of menu that appears on demand, offering a small set of relevant actions related to a specific control, interface area, data piece, or application view. This context is typically determined by the current selection or user specifications made prior to invoking the menu.

Providing a concise set of relevant actions in contextual menus helps users efficiently find what they need for their task. This menu type minimizes interaction cost and cognitive load, as users don’t have to sift through extensive main-menu items or frequently return to the toolbar for specific commands.

Contextual menus are present across all operating systems, in both desktop and mobile applications. However, usability considerations vary for each device type and system. This article will present examples of contextual menus and discuss key interaction and visual design factors to consider when creating them.
