MP4 Video Section v2.1.0

The MP4 Video section on the Ecomify theme is a feature that allows store owners to add a promotional video to their website. This video can be in the MP4 format and can be used to showcase products, demonstrate how a product works, or simply provide an engaging visual experience for website visitors. The video section can be easily added to the homepage or other pages on the website and can be configured to play automatically when the page loads or upon user interaction.

This feature is a great way to engage with customers and provide a dynamic and interactive experience for those visiting the website. With the MP4 Video section, store owners can bring their products to life and provide a more immersive shopping experience for their customers.

Doesn't autoplay on mobile

Although auto-playing muted videos are compatible with several mobile devices, they may not work if the device is in low-power mode. This issue is typically triggered by the iOS battery saver mode or a slow internet connection, while in some cases, the cause is unknown, and the phone prohibits video autoplay. Our system cannot bypass this restriction; however, our code identifies this state and displays the video's play button, enabling users to watch and interact with the video at their discretion.

Where's the sound?

Although most browsers are capable of auto-playing video, starting from around 2018, many of them have disabled autoplay for videos that have sound. As a result, we do not recommend including autoplay videos with sound as we do not have the option to enable them, and trying to do so independently is not advisable.

Rules of Thumb

1. Autoplay: For autoplay to work reliably, ensure the video is muted if it contains audio. This can bypass many browser restrictions.

2. Controls: If controls are enabled, browsers often prevent autoplay unless the user has interacted with the page.

3. Interaction: Some browsers require user interaction before autoplaying a video with sound.
