Metafields are a way to add additional information to Shopify objects, such as products or collections. In the context of quantity breaks on an ecomify theme, metafields can be used to set different prices for different quantities of a product.

For example, a product may have a regular price of $10, but if a customer purchases 10 or more, the price per unit drops to $9. By using metafields to set these quantity breaks, the ecomify theme can automatically adjust the price displayed to customers based on the quantity they add to their cart.
